Washington Capitals

When our relationship began with the Washington Capitals, the hockey team was rebuilding. The Caps therefore needed a campaign that positioned them as a great source of entertainment for all residents in the Washington, DC, area despite their not-so-great won/loss record. We created excitement for the team using targeted messaging, guerilla marketing, outdoor media, and broadcast advertising. The campaign was successful, generating an immediate increase in ticket sales.

Now, the Capitals are known for building the nations hockey capital and have an MVP, Alex Ovechkin, and we continue to create campaigns that excite and motivate the team’s enthusiastic fan base. With the launch of www.scarletcaps.com, a Web site dedicated to the legion of women who follow the Capitals, the Power of Red is getting even stronger.
