Sending Out 2020

Here is your latest serving of The Juice! This week it’s all about additions to Facebook and LinkedIn as well as the big game.

1. A New Member of the Facebook Family

Facebook has acquired customer relationship management (CRM) platform, Kustomer. Facebook explains on its blog: “Kustomer is an omnichannel CRM platform that brings customer conversations from various channels together into a single-screen view. It helps businesses automate repetitive tasks so their agents can maximize the time and quality of interactions with customers. Facebook plans to support Kustomer’s operations by providing the resources it needs to scale its business, improve and innovate its product offering, and delight its customers. That way, more people will benefit from customer service that is faster, richer and available whenever and however they need it, whether it’s phone, email, web chat or messaging.” This announcement came only days before Facebook made headlines after it was sued for antitrust violations.

2. It’s All About Who You Know

This month LinkedIn introduced LinkedIn Sales Insights, a data analytics platform for Sales Operations. LinkedIn explains the key selling points on its blog: “When assigning books of business based upon this dynamic, real-time data and adding a lens of relationship strength and connectivity to your go-to-market strategy, your sellers can get off to a faster start, knowing that the accounts in their books represent the highest potential opportunities to drive revenue.”

As of early December, CBS had sold more than three-quarters of its ad inventory for the big game. But while some brands like AB InBev, Mars Wrigley and WeatherTech will return, others like Avocados From Mexico are staying on the bench for 2021.
